I'm updated my review. This Starbucks I spend a fortune in. I drink around 6 cups a day, 7 days a week. One of the Staff asked me 2 days ago. "Are you going to the VIP gold member night that is 7-9pm?" I found out you had to be registered and Starbucks only send out 150 invites that maybe 1/3 will turn up. I was gutted.
Kerry told Isabelle the Manager, she came over to me and said. "You're invited tonight" I said I never had a pass. She said you're still invited. She really made my day. The Gold-member night was great. It was Isabelle who organised it.
As soon as everyone walked in on the red carpet lol we were greeted by smiles, not just from staff here but a lovely wee lassie who use to work here. The former area manager was here too, she was lovely, and the current area manager, big boss woman was here too, she was lovely too. Along with loads of staff from all other Starbucks.
We were all given a cocktail glass on arrival. I thought it was Black Russian when I seen the Vodka and kaluha. It was actually vodka kaluha and strong coffee. That was it. It put a spring in my step. They had stations set up with cakes and nibbles.
Staff walking around with salads, cakes etc. they even gave tuition on how to make drinks with the fancy design on top. I failed a sit kept sinking:( there were balloons the lot. I even made a wee friend here too:) there was a mix of different ages and background who came.
Everyone I chatted too was nice. All the staff were lovely. Esp the cool guy with the piercings. The Guy from Lithuania is a gem, and Kerry nod Viccy. And not to forget Isabelle again. I was looking out for the lovely Ann and Lyndsey, they were not there:( the smiling Bridget was here with her smiles.
They had a guy playing the guitar and a girl singing. They also were walking around getting everyone to sign a green apron. I signed and drew round my hand on it lol. They also had a guy with a SLR camera taking pictures of the even. It really was a great experience, and all the staff deserve applause.
Even the ones I keep forgetting the names of sorry. Few days before Kerry and the Manager Ann gave me hot chocolate on the house as I spend a fortune there, it made me laugh as the cream was deliberately made as high as a cone:) I'd give them 500 stars if I could. Thanks
I forgot to mention. I loved the sandwiches and the goodie bag had loads in it. Thanks:) -

All these years I've had a pretty dislike/dislike (hate is too strong a word) relationship with Starbucks. I'm very rarely the kind of person that says/thinks 'I'm never trying that/there again...' something has to be pretty terrible for that to happen...so I find myself in town & I had seen an advert for a new flavour they had in Starbucks. The Vanilla Bean Macchiato.
Now I always forget that Starbucks macchiatos are not like other coffee shop macchiatos...they're a latte macchiato which is a totally different coffee to a regular or espresso/caffe macchiato. In other words a Starbucks Macchiato is HUGE. Also I asked for this in a small size but even the small in this cafe seems to be BIG! OMG. Honestly. It was daft size for a 'small' coffee. Ugh. So my imagined tasty, strong but with a kick of vanilla milky niceness ended up being a bland, hint of coffee with a bit of vanilla soup. Bah. Not only was the coffee not good but I paid almost £4 for it! Sheesh. Daylight robbery.
The staff in here were really unapproachable and not in slightest bit friendly to me. I am still fairly unfamiliar with the Starbucks menu so I took a wee while to look for the coffee I wanted and also see what else they had on offer. There was no queue yet I still felt very rushed. Also I was trying to look into their points/loyalty card (as if I don't have enough already!) but with feeling as though I was getting in the guys way/taking up his precious time I quickly picked up a card and handed it to him to scan. I didn't know it needed to be registered & also 'pre-loaded' with money before it would work. I've never encountered such a strange points card before?! Anyhow...he didn't tell me this he just mumbled something and shoved it back in my hand. Nice.
So I ended up leaving not only with a coffee I didn't enjoy & a card that didn't 'work' but also a feeling of sheer disappointment. I berated myself for even stepping foot in the place BUT recently at Glasgow Airport & the IMAX I had actually ENJOYED their coffee AND been treated with respect & politely, so I thought I would try this particular shop. My mistake.
Unless I'm feeling very forgiving or desperate I don't think I'll darken this particular Starbucks' door again. -

Let down once again by this Starbucks. *Note to self: stop going! It's always the same. Feels like I'm on a conveyor belt in this store. No time for chat. No time to get things right. Want your Starbucks points? Forget about it, they've rung up the next customers order before you even have a chance to say thank you.
The Frapp was actually made pretty decently tonight. Opted for the new chocolate marshmallow coffee and it is a treat. I overheard (in a different Sbucks where there's friendly banter) that the cream is made in store for the yummy flavour it now has. Although £3.50 for a tall is a bit steep Starbucks! What are you playing at?
*edit - Frapp still tasted good but realised they made the wrong one for me. Wanted coffee and there wasn't any. Thanks for that. Good job! Two stars to one just like that.
Anyway, get your coffee at one of the other many Starbucks' in the town that would be happier to serve you it seems. -

Situated in Buchanan Galleries, this is a handy little Starbucks to visit if you're shopping. It has a small amount of seating inside and a little area in the mall where you can sit and people watch while you drink your beverage of choice. The decor is typical Starbucks style and the staff were a lot quicker than some other Starbucks I've been too.
Today I popped in on my way to get the train. I'd heard about their new tea lattes and had to try one. I ordered a Citrus Mint Green Tea Latte with Matcha. I know, right? How much of a Starbucks order is that! Anyway, it was a pretty confusing mix of flavours and I'm still not sure if I liked it. Plenty of strong tea flavour, but I couldn't get the overwhelming warm milkshake feeling out of my head when drinking it. I couldn't finished it because of that dessert/drink hybrid taste either.
The drink itself might not be exactly to my tastes, but the staff were friendly and quick so next time I fancy a flat white or a good old fashioned latte whilst I'm shopping I'd probably choose here. -

Short and sweet here, since I don't frequent this establishment much at all, the reason being, and also reason for the score, is the cost. I find it ridiculously over-priced for what it is. Evident by the fact that I had to be revived by a first aider after I was charged £3.55 for my coffee!
Staff are efficient and friendly, but I probably won't be back till the Eggnog Lattes are out. If even then.
